This artwork celebrates my hard-earned path to an artist life. Switching from draining office job to artist career, I had shelved a lot of joys & acts of deep self-love. Middle of a hard winter & many changes.
My decision to lead an artist life took more than 11 years. Once taken, I felt strong pressure to create & be productive - but was burned out & in a creative block.
So this artwork was born from my decision to take small steps and enjoy each cutout, texture and color. Not focused on a grand finale, but deeply mindful & joyful. The style is very rare in my work - focus on color & texture blending, cubism & abstract feel.
